Clinical Governance What is Clinical Governance Clinical Governance is a framework to enable all Health Care staff to participate in continuous quality improvement and maintain standards of care. Who Does It Involve Clinical Governance builds on the idea that quality is everyone's responsibility - whether you hold a clinical or non clinical post, everybody has a part to play.Clinical Governance not only involves staff but includes patients, family and carers. What is it's purpose The purpose of clinical governance is to restorre the public's loss of confidence in the NHS and create an environment within which staff can learn and improve their skills for their own benefit as well as those for the patient.
